Short-skills training courses for competency
The courses offered by Silicon Valley Academy are short-skills training interventions. This means that our courses never exceed 40 notional hours or five days for novice training and one day for recertification.
Short skills training interventions are designed to be integral to the realities of the commercial landscape. Short skills courses are time-bound, ensuring minimal disruption to production schedules, less cost to company; perfect for corporates with a busy production schedule.

How does short-skills earthmoving plant, crane operations, lift truck (forklift) and health and safety training work?
Decide on the type of training you need. Browse our training categories.
Generate a training quote. Get your own Quick quote or contact us for a quotation. Agree on training dates. Our subject matter expert trainer will come to you. Follow the easy enrollment procedures. The assessor provides on-site training for Competency. After training, certification is issued, along with a training report. Learners are recorded and uploaded on the National Learner Database of the seta. Internal and external moderation are done at the end of each quarter for quality assurance. Learners receive Statements of Results from the seta, bearing credits towards a qualification. Certification and credits are transferable if changing jobs.
